DC Heat

I knew this from the start. In August, in Washington DC, it can be 99 degrees farenheit with 99 percent humidity and no rain for a week or more. It's brutal.

However, it's June. I checked all my calendars, and they agree with this assessment. We're having 95 degree weather with 60 percent or higher humidity. It's wiping me out.

The good news is, we keep getting thunderstorms to cool it down. The bad news is by August it will be worse. I'm barely handling 60 percent humidity. I don't know if I can take higher.

I'll send over the thunderstorms for August, but I'll ask mother nature if she could possibly make that rain cold to offset the bloody humidity.

Today, it was in the 60s with 96% humidity. *sighs* I like rain. But Bone-Clammy rain is not my idea of a cool day.

Clammy isn't fun, but I can always add another layer when I'm cold, even if it makes me look like Bibendum the Michelin man. I wanted to peel off my skin on Sunday. *G*

Guh. Tell me about it. The few days we had warm weather, they crept up to high 80s and lower 90s. I can't handle anything over 80 very well and eventually had to take a twenty minute cool shower just to cool down my head. Like you, I'd much rather put clothes on. In the heat, taking them off doesn't help. I've been in DC on a normal July so I have a good idea what you're going through. *hugs*
