I'm alive. I'm very depressed, but I'm standing strong.

This has taken awhile because it's been difficult to set up a routine with Mom. Now that Sis is back teaching, I'm trying to start one.

I haven't found any kind of work. My phone's been cut off, so if you've sent me messages, I might have seen them (I haven't figured out which come through and which don't), but I've been unable to reply. With luck and a favorable wind I'll be solvent next week and able to take the steps I need to.

BTW, it's probably too late, but YES! I want to see Encanto.

I have once again learned the lesson that I can't trust Sis with my private worries. She said that they were weighing on her so heavily that I needed to get everything straightened out by the end of the week.

I'll do my best to check in here at least once a week.

T-Mobile is very reasonable about facilitating that. Let me know if it's not enough to get your number out of hock, they don't show strangers your balance so I don't know what it was. Offer of rushing you a cheap other phone still stands.]

And/or I can just rush you a fresh phone + sim on a cheap plan I have – which might be better if your account is closed and the number lost. Is the shipping address I have for you still valid?

ALSO something you might want to do right now if you are able to receive texts but not send them: Get a Google Voice number. You'll need to receive a validation code on your phone to set up. Then if your phone can do WiFi and you have WiFi to do, you'd be able to use the Google Voice number and app to make and receive VOIP calls and texts, as a back-up phone number.

P.S. Signing up for google voice: log in as usual to Gmail or other google account, and go to voice.google.com. It's fast and simple.

Even if you have no handset whatsoever, you can text (and maybe call?) right from the web browser on voice.google.com.

I'm glad you are even kind-of all right. The things you've been dealing with are legitimately a heavy burden, and moving and giving up your job are traumas in their own right.
