Dearie, dearie me

On my way to get lunch yesterday, I fell. I landed on my right side. My cane handle hit my face, fortunately it has a soft covering, and I have some mild facial bruising. I also have lots of pain on my right side, an injured wrist, mild concussion (probably, based on my eyes not tracking), and a sprained ankle. I'm in the boot on the left side for the heel spur and an air cast on my right for the ankle. My current lurch is similar to Frankenstein's monster.

neotoma helped me get to urgent care, stayed with me through getting the prescription for tramadol, and took me home with her so that I'd have adult supervision per the doctor's instructions. She's also made me pancakes, giggled when she checked my eye tracking, and made a drug store run to get me a stool to use in the shower as trying to get out of a bathtub and trying to stand on two bad legs are neither of them good options. Definitely a good friend to have.

Oh my goodness! I'm glad it wasn't worse, but, as tx_cronopio put it, damn. I hope you are on the mend quickly.

I've been lucky to have friends look after me. Certain spots on my head are really sensitive to touch, and the one slightly handle shaped bruise on my face gives me some pain even though it's not badly discolored. Most of the rest of the bruises are deep.
