Last night wasn't all poison pens and vitriol.

About two weeks ago, one of the sixth grade girls decided I sounded like a cool lady. This was partly brought on from an incident in November where I'd had to tell her and some other girls to put away a Twilight fan magazine.

They told me I could never understand, and I pulled out the Forever Knight tie-in book I was currently reading.

Any way, I'm borrowing the book Twilight from her. In return, I loaned her the Baz Luhrman Romeo + Juliet. She loved it. She thinks Shakespeare is kind of cool.

*heh heh* I caught one.

Hee :oD Go you! More fans for the Bard. It's all in how they're introduced to it, I think. Both my girls think he's awesome.

It's just not as pervasive here, sadly. It's difficult to find a way to get the kids to see Shakespeare -- though DC is better than most in that regard. We have the Folger Shakespeare Library with its theater and another one just called Shakespeare Theater.
