My mother gave me a cruise for my 60th birthday. Thanks to Covid, I'm finally going in June about a month after my 61st.
I wanted to do an Athens to Petra cruise with stops in Israel and Egypt. Sis, who's joining me, said there was too much terrorism there. So, I picked a midsummer tour that included St. Petersburg. Russia invaded Ukraine which made that a no go.
Instead we're doing a Barcelona to Barcelona cruise. I've paid for three nights in Barcelona before the cruise and the cruise includes stops in Valencia, Cartagena, Malaga, Cadiz, Tangiers, Gibralter, Mallorca, and Menorca. Since we transferred less than 180 days out, I'm waitlisted for a day trip that I really wanted: The Alhambra. Keep your fingers crossed that I can join that one.
