Just over a year ago, I found out Thamiris had died.

She was a great writer and a good friend even though we never met face to face. When I posted about my mugging, she got back to me immediately offering help both moral and im.

The saddest moment in my world was realizing that I had been taken off her friends list. It made perfect sense. During my time in California, I often found family members reading over my shoulder while I was at my computer. Time of day didn't seem to matter, so I just stopped using LJ all that much -- especially the sites that had slash or sexuality topics. I was lookng forward to the day I could catch up with her. And it never came.

Her website, Odysseys and Ecstasy, is being preserved. The woman could write -- most of it is Adult Explicit slash, even the Lucifer/God story. Yes, you read that right.

I miss her.

I know what you mean about her being to vivid to be gone. She encouraged me as a writer in ways too numerous to list.

We always chatted about meeting up so I could cook for her.

Wow... I really need to read this person's fiction. Sounds wonderful (Lucifer/God slash? I've been wanting to see that ever since I read Steven Brust's TO REIGN IN HELL).

Agreed. The woman could definitely write. Even when I wasn't particular about a certain pairing, she always made it believable somehow. :)
