Moving

I'm going through my things at eanja to prepare for the drive (I'm renting a car) to DC on Friday.

One of eanja's sisters may be helping me unload Friday night. I hope I'll have my address tomorrow.

bryttan won't believe it, but the culling is going easily -- no tears, no angst. Wow, the difference looking forward to a move makes.

I think this makes the 3rd time in my life when I have looked forward to a move. Out of a total of 37 moves, that's a lousy average.

That is a sucky average. May this be the start of an upswing in that average...and a slowing of data gathering.

Slowing the data gathering sounds great. Even if I suddenly make a great deal more money, I think I want to stick with apartments.

I look forward (usually with mounting desperation) to every move. And then the moving itself sucks rotten eggs and I wonder why I do that to myself. Then I think of the psychotic people I'm getting the hell away from (or, on the flip side, the money I can save if I move in with others, or else defer homelessness for just a little while longer) and I remember.

Now the only psychotic I have to deal with is my cat, and I can just pick her up and kiss her if she gets on my nerves, not have a house meeting. ^_^
