I'm feeling very virtuous. [livejournal.com profile] eanja and I voted in the primary before work.

For those who are interested, as an independent, I chose to vote in the Republican primary. I figure that way I'm more likely to get a candidate I can live with should the worst happen.

Sometimes I really wish I could vote in the American elections. They get massive coverage here and frankly it all looks rather exciting. I want to be part of it!

It would be more exciting if we had a higher voter turnout. I prefer the British elections because they're finite. There's a day they're called and six weeks later it's all over. We have another 9 months, and we've already been through a good 9 months of campaigning. Forget the candidates: it wears out the voters.

Same. I look at the Democratic candidates and cringe. More violently so than I do when I look at the Republican candidates, that is.
