New Job

As some of you already know, I've been offered a Quality Assurance job in Alexandria, VA. I start on February 18.

It pays better than I've made in awhile, and they're giving me money for moving expenses. It has good benefits, and there's a slim chance that I could be sent to India for a month or so to train people. (It would be beyond wonderful for it to happen. I've never been to India.)

I'll miss Boston, but, frankly, three bouts of whiplash in five months tells me something wants me gone from here. *G*

I gave my notice to my current employers yesterday.

D.C. beckons. I haven't lived there in over 25 years. It will be interesting.

I hope to get an apartment in DC, mostly because the company will be moving offices (while remaining in the DC area) soon and no one knows quite where we'll end up. I figure it's better to be in the middle of the Metro system and flexible.

I didn't really publicize the move to Boston for various reasons. It's been wonderful to be here with friends, but the work wasn't what I expected.

It's the type of job I'm good at. And I think it will give me enough money to have a life outside the job that I'll enjoy.
