Happy Thanksgiving, all.

I'm going over to moria923's and thorbol's for dinner. Noodle stuffing, lemon chess and plain chess pies, and eanja's moravian wafers are coming with us.

Still sick. It's more Bronchial now. I'd forgotten this part of New England winters.

Tell me, what's a chess pie?

Chess pie is native to Virginia. It's made with buttermilk and cornmeal, and it's basically a custard pie. Lemon chess pie is like a tarter filling for lemon meringue, also with cornmeal, and without the meringue. Both are really good.
