Lurgy

I am sitting at a very nice hotel in Alexandria with a head cold.

I'm using all sorts of home remedies, and hoping to get LOTS of sleep tonight before a job interview tomorrow.

I had a lovely meal. I ended up ordering a side dish of potatoes after my main course. I couldn't figure out why I was so hungry. Then I realized I had breakfast at 6:30 this morning and no real lunch.

I'm planning to spend the next hour or two working on a fanfic that's eating my brain. Part one (no part is completely finished yet) is over 8,000 words, part two over 9,500 words, and part three is just over a thousand -- and is the least finished of them all. Apparently, I'm participating in NaNoWriMo without having planned to.

I'm drinking lots of hot herbal tea. And I took a nap this afternoon in a hugely comfortable bed.

Oh, man. Hope you're feeling better soon! I've had great luck with zinc candies, which, yes, can be pretty nasty, but I have found them to work admirably well.

I looked for them, but couldn't find a health food store. Zicam and zinc pills with orange juice helped -- are helping. They got me through the interview, at any rate.
