On a whim I checked out the McGill website for employment opportunities, and there's a job that I think I would be perfect for. About three years ago, I did the little Canadian immigration quiz, and I qualify at least at the most basic level.

Thoughts? Should I apply? Does anyone have a clue what the procedures might be beyond an application?

[livejournal.com profile] versaphile is in the midst of the process herself. She might be willing to advise you; she's a good egg. Feel free to drop my name.

Absolutely! Gorgeous campus, great town...what's not to like? My best friend from college emigrated to Canada years ago, she loves it.

And my LJ pal [livejournal.com profile] betagoddess lives just outside Montreal, you might want to get to know her ;)

APPLY NOW! Just think, you could be in an entirely different COUNTRY than your mother. If that's not incentive, I don't know what is.

And talk to the good people out there who have been through the process.

Yes, apply! *g* It can't hurt, right?

I don't know what the rules are, though.

Do you think you'd like living in Canada?

It'd probably be a good idea to apply for anything you think you could get. What kind of job is it?

Um that'd be a ginormous YES!!! I have good friends in Hamilton, in fact one of them works at McGill and my cousin got his degree and his Masters there.

If I could I'd be there like a shot. When it comes to work though, I think they have to offer them to native Canadians first before they can sponsor a foreigner. I may be wrong, but that's what the immigration agency told Dave and I when we were applying before he passed.

I wish you lots of luck *hugs*
