Thanks to Sis's generosity, I have a plane ticket to Boston and Back. (I'll be repaying her in installments.)

Whee!

Everything essential is now in place. This Friday's paycheck covers the extra night of hotel, and then things won't just be in place, they'll have been accomplished.

I wrote Snow today to give her a head's up on what her responsibilities will probably cost. She's covering our trip from London to Edinburgh, our Tube passes, any entrance fees that I haven't cover in advance, and the meals that aren't covered in the hotel nights.

What we already have: Roundtrip airfare Boston/London/Boston, three nights (out of four) in London which includes full English breakfast daily, both nights in Edinburgh which includes breakfast and dinner, sleeper berth tickets from Edinburgh to London, reservations for the London Eye, tickets to see Shakespeare's Globe Company in Coriolanus, tickets to the Ceremony of the Keys, my airfare to Boston.

What we'll get this week: That last night of hotel.

What I'll get with the following paycheck: Memberships for each of us at Historic Royal Palaces. This will give us our entrances to Hampton Court and the Tower of London as well as three other historic buildings in greater London. It also gets us discounts for food and merchandise at any of the affiliated places. I figured every little break would help.

Can anyone think of anything else I'll need to get in advance?

Do you think Snow will enjoy it?

I don't know about Snow, but I'd love it. *g* It sounds like you have everything all planned out. :-)

The advantage of poverty is that everything takes advance planning. I did a little each paycheck. Snow earns as little or less than I do. I pay the things ahead of time, and she's saved up to pay for the things once we're there.

That sounds like a good arrangement.

Heeeeeeee! I'm so happy for ya, sweetie. You're getting a truly deserved break. Again, wish there was a way you could end up staying overseas, or even in Boston, but the trip is still one helluva blessing. Have a good time! {{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{ hugs you }}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}

I think you'll both have a marvellous time, honey. I really hope we can hook up while you're here. Email me and let me know your itinerary. London might be the best place to get together, unless I can get a really cheap air ticket up to Edinburgh and I can see Cats as well :)
