Family catch up
Mar. 21st, 2006 11:58 pmFinally got the results of Sis's biopsy, and it looks like they got the whole spot. They think.
Scout is finally off her medications, but she has a tendency to run from me now when I offer her treats at night. (We hid the antibiotics in them. With Sis's shoulder surgery, I got to hold down 17 lbs of squirming terrier if she spat it out, and we had to force feed her. Auntie Fabi is not popular.)
Mom has been removed from all but one of her medications. She has her energy back. Lord and Lady take me now. Mom with energy is truly terrifying. She's trying to sell Sis's house. She's butting into various things that are none of her business, and she's doing it with a glint in her eye. Worst of all, she can read family reactions and yell about them. We'd forgotten how scarily intuitive she is when she's on form. Personally, I think the doctors would have done better to leave her on her meds and take away her alcohol. It's the alcohol that turns her truly vicious.
Dad is more difficult. He seems better, but it will be another month or two before he has the follow-up tests that let us know.
My only problem is incipient baldness from snatching out my hair in frustration. The computer system we're moving to needs to be a completely separate post -- preferably after I've taken some Valium.

Date: 2006-03-22 04:03 pm (UTC)Oh, and I agree completely with you about your mom's docs. They totally took her off the wrong drug.
In the meantime, remember Scout will forgive you, the computer system will be worked out, and May is coming. Oh, and when I mentioned to my buddy Malnpudl that you're working on a new fic, she did yippee skippy dances and rejoiced. She's been impatient to get more of your J/D goodness.
Now, we just need to figure out when you can come up here and cook with me.

Thinking of you often, and sending hugs, even though I don't write.
Hope to see you when you come east, and you know you always have crash space with me. (Yes, we _are_ all fighting over you. Deal. :-) )
