It went well. She's convinced I'd be a good addition to their company and is taking my resume and reference list with her to next week's meetings with the other managers.

Her preference is for someone with experience and a client portfolio. They definitely won't be hiring until late September. However, she's checking to see if there are other opportunities with the company (IT style stuff is possible), and she gave me a couple of suggestions for other possibilities, like guiding tours.

I got my resume out to four other places and found out that a local firm is looking to hire about 100 new people. I have my project for Monday.

You mean, like, they pay you to travel and show off what you know about far places?

Yup.

Downside is the one she recommends most highly is based out of L.A. But if I'm constantly travelling, that seems less problematic. It's not terribly lucrative, but TRAVEL. Always a plus.

It hadn't even occurred to me, but you'd make a great tour guide. You know a lot, and have a gorgeous speaking voice. Plus, as you said, travel!

I firmly believe something really positive is going to come out of this one. Whether it turns out to be the agent job, a tour guide job, or something in IT, it sounds like doors are starting to open for you. Race through them, girlfriend!
