We are supposed to go to la Vallee de la Vezeres tomorrow (Toulouse, then drive north to Lascaux) but there are train strikes. They're supposed to get worse through the week. *le sigh

Oh, dear. I suppose there are worse places to be stuck than Paris. That said, Google says it's only an eight hour drive to Toulouse (and you pass through Lascaux on the way) if you can score a car.
