Mom did come home yesterday.

She has to stop several of her current prescriptions. There are three new ones. I have made appointments for her to see her pain doctor, her cardiologist, and the nurse practitioner for her pcp. Once I've talked to the nurse practitioner tomorrow, I hope I'll know more about Mom's new low sodium diet. For today, I'll keep her dinner without added salt, not that I add much anyway. I have a feeling there's going to be a couple of weeks of major label reading. I did it before when Dad got type 2 diabetes in the 1970s. I can do it again.

I should hear from the home health folks by tomorrow.

I hope that the landscaper I called can reschedule for later this week. One thing about being in the south, plants need to go in early. I want to use our 4' by 1' planters -- we have two -- for vegetables.

Good luck! As I've said, don't let them pressure you into trying to make more dietary changes than your mom will accept. "Patient-centered care" is the current buzzword, which means "don't fight the patient or give her too many orders, see what she's willing to do."

Meds get so complicated at that age.
I'm glad she was able to go home. Best wishes to all of you.
