I want to convert population density per square mile into population density per square acre. I'm trying to calculate the impact of development, and I'm comparing different developments all of which are well under a square mile.

Thank you.

Acres already come in squares (technically, a square acre is a volume not an area). One acre equals 0.0015625 square miles [W]. To convert a population density per square mile into per acre, multiply it by 0.0015625. (To convert a population density per acre into per square mile, divide it by 0.0015625.)
