What ISIS is doing to its people, and more especially to the people it doesn't consider belong to it, is vile and reprehensible.
They are also destroying antiquities, precious cultural heritage that we need to understand who we are and where we came from. It seems, though, that while they're looting cultural heritage sites and posting videos of destroying statuary, many of these items are not being destroyed, but sold on the black market to finance ISIS.
I want people to stop using black markets, to think about what the money is financing -- what horrible deeds and goals can be carried out because these terrorists now have money in their pockets -- yet, there's also a part of me that's grateful the heritage is being preserved on any level.
