fabrisseDoes anyone have any ideas for getting a cheap laptop? Used is fine. Must be able to connect to DSL service in CA. I need to have my own access. Since I don't know if I'm going permanently (If I am this becomes moot. I can take my desktop with me.), this may be my best solution.

Any laptop will be able to connect to DSL service. It depends on what you need to do with it. Windows 98/OS9 and above will work. You can probably find one of those laptops for under $500.
