So. I've been reading a lot of Sherlock fanfiction.

Doctor Watson was INVALIDED out of the military, not INVALIDATED.

Also, he was an officer. If you want him coming up through the ranks, fine, but establish that. If he entered the military after university and medical school, then he did not enlist. He also can't be discharged. That's for lesser ranks. He retired (unlikely based on age) or resigned his commission or, as mentioned above, was invalided out.

Also, please learn the differences between ELUDING and ALLUDING. One involves the suspect getting away, the other involves referring to something commonly known or previous discussed without mentioning it directly.

I feel better now.

I assume the "invalided" one is a spell check thing, but I could be wrong.

Oh, homophones and hilariously incorrect autocorrects.

If you're lucky, your beta catches them, but if they don't know anything about the Victorian period or the British military that doesn't help.

btw, are you off work tomorrow? I'm thinking of going to see The Dying Gaul finally.

I'm in New York. Next weekend would be good or see it without me and we'll compare notes later.

I'm picturing John wandering around with some kind of Invalidated UPC code on his forehead...of course as he was alluding to eluding the murderer before he became the damsel in distress *again*

Also, hi! Hope you're doing well! I've been thinking of you of late.

*giggle* That's the perfect image.

I'm still not 100%, but I'm doing tremendously well. You?
