Just watched Ben-Hur

I've seen it before, but I've also read the book. The book had a lot more plot, especially regarding Judah's return from Rome to Judea. Among other things, he experimented with paganism (the movie is a 100% Christian progress) and had a steamy affair with a sensual (and therefore evil, it was written in the late 19th century after all) woman who was the daughter of one of the 3 Magi.

The movie is much blander.

Ben-Hur! I need to finish the novel, since I work where Lew Wallace wrote it. :P One thing about the movie, though, it was already like four hours long. Can you imagine if they put everything in it that happened in the book? :D

Yeah, it definitely needs to be a mini-series, but there's also the fact that some of the scenes in the 4 hour version are a bit slow. They could have included a little more. :-D
