Day 22, Dentist

I went to the dentist this morning. My teeth are still good, though I've apparently been grinding them.
Does anyone know what "dentist" means in a
yuletide or
yuletide_coal sense? I've seen it used, but it seems to be something other than a sock puppet which was my first thought.
I also took a walk for coffee after my appointment. It was about a mile to the coffeeshop I wanted to go to, and then I walked the mile and a quarter home, stopping by the National Gallery. They're displaying colonial and early Federal furniture downstairs. I can still tell Duncan Phyfe at 20 paces. There's a new photographic exhibit opening this weekend that I'll try to catch next week. Marville worked for the city of Paris as official photographer beginning around 1850. That means he captured the city before as well as during and after Baron Haussmann's new layout.
I want to be rich and own lots of statues.
