Day 8, Texans?

I know a few people on my friends list are in Texas, but I'm not sure where they are scattered over that very big state. Next Tuesday, September 17, there is a rally in Austin while the State Board of Education is meeting. They're trying to put more creation science into textbooks and the classroom. Slate article mentioning it here.
If you're close enough to Austin to attend, I'd really appreciate it. I'm the crazy lady who donates subscriptions to Scientific American to my local middle and high schools. I like real science, and I know Texas textbooks are often adopted by other states.
