Day 7, Hot
Sep. 11th, 2013 02:57 pmSummer decided on one last farewell tour today. Current temperature is 94F and I know there's a heat index to attach to it. The walk to the local farmer's market was hot and sticky. The good news is I have kale, string beans, beets, and some local grapes that make me want to convert to Dionysian.
Weird thing: I wore trousers for the first time since my surgery. The zipper hits right over the incision and until today, that was just too uncomfortable. So, YEA! for more wardrobe choices (and pockets).
Best news of the day: AFLAC got my documentation finally and the check is in the mail. I won't be rich, but I won't have to borrow money to cover October's rent from my folks either.

Yay! for money to pay the rent, etc.!
Have I ever sent you the recipe for the beet risotto I make? Super tasty and it uses the greens as well as the roots. Plus making risotto is always fun.
