My first coherent thought this morning was of the presents wrapped and waiting for children who are never going to open them in Newtown.

I had the same thought.

Not that there's any good time to lose a child, but it does seem a little more horrible right before Christmas.

Do they get donated to a shelter? Do they get returned? How can anyone make that decision?
