The fireflies were out dancing in the twilight as I walked home from a meeting tonight.

I love my city.

I love fireflies...I'll have to remember to start looking for them when I get home at night. We have a huge backyard, so there's plenty of space for them to flit about in. I can remember when I was little, we'd take a glass jar (probably an empty Miracle Whip one) and cut holes in the lid with a bottle opener and then go out and try to catch them. Those were the days.....

Only a little late, and YES! we caught fireflies in jars, too and then would let them go a little later.

Someone caught me catching one in my hand the other night. *G*
