It came to the IMAX at the Air and Space Museum, so I went again.
I was sitting far enough back that I could actually comprehend the turning hallway fight scene and all of the groovy zero-G stuff.
I have come away thinking that Eames may not be the smartest person in the room, but he's definitely the one who can break down the concepts. This is an important talent. I have it for some things -- like explaining databases to end-users -- but for most things, it's not my strong suit. I appreciated that aspect of his character more.
I know everyone (for a given value of "everyone") is slashing Eames with Arthur, but I see Arthur/Ariadne/Dom as an OT3. Seriously, the smile Arthur's giving Dom when the final wakeup occurs on the plane is intimate, joyous, and HOT. /shallow (Well, maybe not entirely, I would also like to say that Cillian Murphy is very pretty.)
My respect for the editor and cinematographer is boundless. They did some very interesting things with in-camera effects and seamless cutting.
Yes, I think Dom wakes up at the end. No, I don't think the whole film is his dream.
And I want to give a wet kiss to the person who has Saito sitting in a Charles Rennie Mackintosh Willow chair. I knew when I saw it, I'd be in good hands for the movie.
