I had this happen to me two weeks ago or so, and also with my hotmail account. Change your password immediately (if you hadn't already done so).

It sucks so, so much.

With the new version of Hotmail, I can't find my account information to do that. I've emailed their help desk, but if you can point me to the right spot, it would be really helpful.

Yeah, it's really annoying trying to find out how to change the password (this is an option that should be easier/less hidden).
I had to do some extensive internet searching.

When you're in your hotmail account, put your cursor over your name in the top right corner. A box should pop up that includes an option to click on "Account". Click on that. It should show you your account information, including your password (hidden). Click on the word "Change" next to password.

It was a pain in the ass to find out this information.

I too use gmail for professional stuff, but I've had my hotmail account for years and basically use it for all my personal crap. I also have a yahoo account for fandom stuff. Yeah... it's odd, but I'm multi-faceted so I'm multi-email accounted too. ;-)

Definitely change the password or the problem will just keep happening.

I have GMail for professional stuff, but I hate it. I actually prefer Hotmail for 99 percent of what I do, and until 3 months ago, I'd never (in the 13 years I've used it) had a problem with it. I think some of the new features to make it more like GMail are part of the problem. If I can't get this resolved, I'll make the permanent switch, but this is the one account where people I've lost touch with might be able to find me.
