Quite a week

Mom wasn't feeling great on April 30, so we moved our celebration of her wedding anniversary to May 7, which was also her father's birthday and made it a late anniversary and early Mother's Day celebration.

Mom loved her meal -- a short rib with mashed potatoes. Sis really liked her duck dish. I had a not so great flounder -- acceptable, but I cook better -- and asked for broccolini because I don't care much for the collards it came with.

They forgot the substitution, and I decided to try the collards. They were excellent. They'd also been cooked with ham hock. I have an Alpha-GAL allergy. [https://www.cdc.gov/ticks/alpha-gal/index.html , https://fabrisse.dreamwidth.org/182646.html]

Since I only had one bite, I managed not to throw-up. But I spent the next several days with tummy troubles and eating lightly. I've also had trouble sleeping.

Yoga was right out. I was finally, yesterday, able to bend over without worrying about losing my most recent meal.

The dogs are sick. Mom's not doing great. All in all, not my best week. Here's hoping next week is better.
