My sister's dog has pancreatitis. Scout had to stay at the vet's overnight to get IV fluids, antibiotics, and pain killers. She'll need a special diet if they work. We don't want to contemplate what happens if it doesn't.
My father's CAT-scan results are being analyzed today. He's been in pain for some time, but it's gotten bad enough that he's abruptly lost weight -- and it's weight he can't afford to lose.
Two of the elevators are down in my building. One was scheduled, the other was, supposedly repaired. After being trapped in it for 15 minutes on Monday night, I don't believe them.
The water was cut off last Friday due to an emergency flooding situation in the basement of the building. That meant we were without air conditioning overnight. We were without hot water until Tuesday morning. We still have no laundry room because the flooding combined with the laundry room created some type of unspecified BioHazard. All of the machines are being replaced.
On the plus side:
jerminating is in town and we're seeing a midnight showing of The Dark Knight tonight and an IMAX showing on Sunday. Thanks to the events in the paragraph above, I couldn't have him stay with me. *sniff*
