Oct. 4th, 2004 01:35 amIn talking to my father tonight, I found out that most of his health problems in recent years (prostate cancer, gallbladder, cataracts, diabetes [yes, you read that right] and, now, macular degeneration) are probably attributable to Agent Orange.
On the one hand, that's, sickly enough, good news. My sister and I don't have anywhere near his exposure level to it, so even though many of the above have genetic components, we probably don't have the specific trigger.
The other hand...I can't believe what untested substances we were and are willing to submit our soldiers to. What new horror will the war in Iraq bring us?
