Should it bother me as much as it does that a reviewer in the above publication makes repeated references to "cypruswood" rather than "cypress wood"?

Hah. I have an otherwise wonderful book of the cover art of Tom Adams which explains his gorgeous artwork for Agatha Christie's novel "Sad Cyprus" (sic). Drives me nuts every time I get to that page.

Well, with all the tensions between Greece and Turkey, I suppose Cyprus is sad.
