I saw it yesterday.

I have a list of movies I want to see based on the trailers. The one I want to see that wasn't in 3-D (and how cute was the White Rabbit card telling us it was time to put on our glasses) was for The Karate Kid. I never saw the original film, but the idea of setting this one in Beijing is cool. And then there's JACKIE CHAN. Plus, I think Jaden Smith is a good little actor.

My number one movie must-see from the previews was TRON. I'd seen the trailer they showed in squinty vision on my computer, but I was practically dancing in my (second row) seat with the 3-D and the full screen. Squeeeee. The people I was seeing the film with let me know I was on my own for that one. I'm just mad that I can't buy advanced tickets to the midnight show yet. I don't care that it's not out until December.

The Legend of the Guardians was one I'd never heard of, but the animation looks stunning. I loved Happy Feet and this is from the same team, so I'll definitely give it a shot.

My no spoilers review of Alice is that I enjoyed it, covet many of the costumes (if anyone knows where I can get a pattern that will work for them, I'll even attempt sewing again), and adored the Cheshire Cat's purr.

My senior quote in high school was “It vanished quite slowly, beginning with the end of the tail, and ending with the grin, which remained some time after the rest of it had gone.”

I'm in the opposite boat in that I don't see in three dimensions (without my prescription glasses which don't fully compensate), but 3-D glasses work! So any movie I can see in 3-D is great because I'm seeing in 3-D.

That was nice armor. And am I right that Alice got in some decent shield work?
