I had the same thought! They are lovely and yet I'm confused. Still, as you say, the main thing is the pretty and the awesome friends! I'd totally have sent you a snowflake cookie if I'd known we were doing snowflake cookies :)
For a while, the snowflake cookies were free due to some sort of happy software glitch. I thought at the time that it was some sort of 'spread the joy' thing on the part of the lj management, and wished they had advertised it better. It turns out it was accidental, and fandom in general just started taking advantage of it to send joy to people who make them happy. I sent you one cause I bounce in my chair when your name shows up on the criminal minds fic community. :-)
