Is there nothing new?

I just saw I, Robot for the first time on FX.

There are a couple of Matrix type moments. And damn, it's boring.

But did it remind anyone else of Tron? Especially in the design elements, Viki and even the motorcycle chase, I kept thinking "where have I seen this before" and suddenly, it came to me, Tron.

It's been a while since I saw it (in the cinema, where I like pretty damn near anything that's shiny enough), and it had been even longer since I'd last seen Tron, but I don't remember thinking of that.
Should I somehow come across it again, I will have to pay proper attention. I should watch Tron again before that, though. It's probably been a decade since I last saw it.

There are two dynamics here for me. One is I have a freak memory and it occasionally includes interesting visuals. The other is I've been looking at Tron things (like the motorcycle race) because someone posted the preview for the new movie (kind of a sequel, kind of a remake) from ComicCon and I was intrigued.

Weirdly enough my first "Hey, that reminds me of Tron!" moment came from the freak memory and not the rewatch. *G* The pods carrying the new release robots were very familiar.
