I tried a landscape today. The sky wasn't bad, but the buildings came out looking like a prison and the treetops like a lawn.

Must practice.

Oops. *hugs*

I'm not all that good with most buildings, not even with barns, log cabins, and cottages, which tend to be a little easier to do--but then I haven't tried them in watercolor, only oils, so for all I know, I may suck. :-p

I'm very, very young as a visual artist. I like playing with watercolors and watercolor pencils, but I know what I see, what I want to draw, and what I produce can be very different things.

I know exactly how that goes. Wouldn't it be wonderful if we could paint whatever scene is in our heads. :) That'd be awesome. There are a few artists out there who can do that, but they'd also tell us that it's not that easy. All through school's art classes, my biggest problem was perspective, especially where people are concerned, and it hasn't gotten any better (although because of lack of art material, I haven't done it in a while). The easiest thing for me is flora. Fauna, not so much. *g*
