Please go read [livejournal.com profile] siderea's post on crossposting from Dreamwidth to LJ. It's very short and could be a useful part of the decision making process for those of you who are contemplating the move.

The link is here.

Every time I hear "crossposting", I'm always thinking of LJ journal to LJ Comm. When it comes to a second site, whether it's DW or Wordpress or Blogger, I just copy my post, go to other journal, and post there. It may take another minute, but I've never felt it necessary to blend services. Plus my password at DW is different than LJ's anyway. ;)

I once tried to post a quiz directly to LJ and it made me uncomfortable in the end so I canceled the "post to LJ" bit and just copied the code instead. ;)

Much the better way to do it, I think. But some people will always opt for convenience without necessarily thinking it all the way through.

Indeed. It's this "instant gratification" thing we've been sucked into. Frankly, the only instant gratification I need is Internet speed. *g*
