I know I show off a bit about my apartment.

I lay in bed with the window open and heard Obama's voice in the distance as he took the oath of office. I'm too far away to hear more than timbre and reverberation, but it's still very obvious.

Then the 21 gun salute shook the walls as the crowd roared. [note: Next time, guys, aim AWAY.]

We have a new President.

Loud? Yes. And so were the helicopters that kept flying over the city all night.

Guess you're not used to that. I would have thought there was that sort of air traffic all the time. I'm pretty much used to it, but it does get annoying sometimes.
