A few months ago, I talked about the cooking show Semi-Homemade with Sandra Lee. The infamous Christmas Cocktail episode is showing on Food Network tomorrow (Sunday,December 21).

Yeah, I'm wondering that too. I know I can only take very limited doses of Miss Sandra (hmm, perhaps cocktails would help)

(P.S. Speaking of tv to drink to, Michael Shanks's latest cheesy scifi movie will be on tonight).

My original post is here (http://fabrisse.livejournal.com/100175.html?nc=6).

Her basic premise, that processed foods can be prettied up with fresh ingredients, isn't bad. Her execution is frightening. And she tends to use alchohol in everything.

This episode includes a cocktail made like a slushy. She rimmed the glass with coconut flakes and used a blue brandy which made it look like Tidy Bowl with a toilet paper trim.

See above.

Three kids need a lot of shoes. Bless Michael Shanks for being able to pay for them by acting for a living. *G*

I knew about her thing for processed foods, but I didn't know about the alcohol. I shall always treasure knowing that no cooking mistake I make will EVER be that bad.

Also, it makes me LOL.

She always gives me great ideas because I can't afford to cook/bake anything from scratch (partly due to the fact that my bakeware is practically non-existent) and generic brands are (item-depending) just as good as name brands. :)
