Bronchitis

I'm recovering from bronchitis.

I've been taking codeine for it. I'm a little high. And I really wish I weren't taking something that depresses me.

Today was my official last day, and I'm panicking a little. I still haven't had a call on any jobs I've applied for.

The folks have bought me a plane ticket to L.A. for the holidays. Dad really wants me there, and I'm not going to disappoint him. But two weeks under their roof without a job or even having had an interview is suboptimal.

I just spoke to my sister. She's not great at sympathy. She tries to be helpful, but it's just not her style.

The National Gallery of Art had a little pop-up survey a couple of weeks ago at its website. I completed it and was asked whether I'd be interested in participating in their follow-up. I said yes, and had the long interview about art, websites, and culture yesterday. They gave me a $20 Starbucks gift card for my trouble, so as least I can stay caffeinated.

The two best things to happen today? riverfox has her data back from her hard drive and is uploading a couple of stories, and tijmetje's holiday card arrived.
