1] Who was your FIRST prom date?
I only had one prom. I went stag (doe?) which was shocking to my classmates. They tried to prevent my attending for several reasons, but mostly because I was uncoupled.
[2] Do you still talk to your FIRST love?
No. I think of him often and hope his life is good.
[3] What was your FIRST alcoholic drink?
Red Wine at Thanksgiving when I was seven. I didn't ask for wine again until we moved to Belgium 10 years later.
[4] What was your FIRST job?
Babysitting. Later I had a paper route that I shared with my sister.
[5] What was your FIRST car?
I got my parents Ford Escort when they decided to get a new car. When it died, the car I wanted cost them less than the downpayment they'd given my sister for her new car, so I owned a Deux Chevaux outright
[6] Who was the FIRST person to text you today?
Text?
snopes_faith was the first person ever to text me, and that conversation was my last text conversation too.
[7] Who is the FIRST person you thought of this morning?
Myself. I debated whether to turn over and get another 1/2 hour of sleep.
[8] Who was your FIRST grade teacher?
Miss Maloney.
[9] Where did you go on your FIRST ride on an airplane?
Seattle to San Francisco when I was ten days old.
[10] Who was your FIRST best friend and are you still friends with them?
I don't think I had one until I was an adult. There are a few people I consider best friends now.
gileswench,
eanja, and
siderea are three I can think of off the top of my head.
[11] What was your FIRST sport played?
Um...
[12] Where was your FIRST sleep over?
Fifth grade a girl named Cynthia.
[13] Who was the FIRST person you talked to today?
Some tourists who needed directions.
[14] Whose wedding were you in the FIRST time?
My ex-girlfriend's.
[15] What was the FIRST thing you did this morning?
Reached for my glasses.
[16] What was the FIRST concert you ever went to?
Concert? There was a performance by a local symphony orchestra with my third grade class, but I was the only kid who knew to applaud the conductor when he approached the podium, so I'm pretty sure I'd been to one before that. Maybe it was just a hangover from Opera (Hansel and Gretel when I was 7) or Ballet (Swan Lake when I was 6). I was ten when my parents took me to a jazz club for the first time. Dorothy Donegan at Blues Alley. We stayed for the second set. Since it was midweek, getting up for school the next morning was hell. But that night was worth the failed math test and sleep deprivation.
[17] FIRST tattoo or piercing?
My only piercings were my ears when I was ten. I'm considering a tattoo.
[18] FIRST foreign country you went to for vacation?
For VACATION, Germany while we were living in London, when I was six. But the first foreign country I lived in was Viet Nam when I was three.
[19] What was your FIRST run in with the law?
Speeding. I didn't get a ticket because the poor deputy felt sorry for me. I was in my thirties.
[20] When was your FIRST detention?
Ninth grade. I'd gotten the requisite five penalty slips for turning in homework late.
[21] What was the FIRST state you lived in?
Born in Washington State. I've spent less than three weeks there in my entire life. California, Florida, Virginia, and Massachusetts are the places I've lived in the US.
[22] Who was the FIRST person to break your heart?
Colin. See first love, above. *G*
[23] Who was your FIRST roommate?
Ninth grade, Christy. A bitch of the first water. I had cabin mates at summer camp before that, but I've blocked out the names except for the very worst.
[24] Where did you go on your FIRST limo ride?
Airport to Hotel in Indianapolis when I organized a conference there -- again, mid-thirties.
[25] Who will be the FIRST to repost this?
I doubt anyone on my friends list will.

Date: 2008-09-30 10:51 pm (UTC)Hey, sweetie. Am not feeling too particularly well (nothing big, just arthritis), so I'm late responding. But hey, here's I am. :)
As for the list, I'll post, though it's rather a sad response. I can't really give good "first" answers since half these things don't really apply to me. Typical. ;)
