fabrisseI'm supposed to be reading Moby Dick -- which I'm enjoying, by the way -- but my copy of Nation, the latest Pratchett, arrived today, so I'm reading it instead.
There's a lot of water in it too, so at least I'm carrying on a Moby Dick theme.
People talk about all the useless stuff in my head, but this pretty much sums up my feelings.

"She was always superstitious about remembering useful things she'd been told, at least outside lessons. You would be bound to need it one day. It was a test the world did to make sure you were paying attention."
