1) Copy this list into your journal, including these instructions.
2) Bold all the items you’ve eaten. -- It's quicker to bold the things I haven't eaten.
3) Cross out any items that you would never consider eating.
4) Italicize things you would like to try.

1. Venison
2. Nettle tea
3. Huevos rancheros
4. Steak tartare
5. Crocodile -- since alligator is a member of the crocodile family, I qualify.
6. Black pudding
7. Cheese fondue -- been making it since I was 10.
8. Carp
9. Borscht -- made my own, too.
10. Baba ghanoush
11. Calamari
12. Pho
13. PB&J sandwich
14. Aloo gobi
15. Hot dog from a street cart -- Considering my "It looks just like Minnesota" story, I think this one is on here just for me.
16. Epoisses -- I thought this would have to be the first one that I bolded. Looked it up, and lo and behold, I've eaten it.
17. Black truffle -- love them. Wish I could afford them.
18. Fruit wine made from something other than grapes
19. Steamed pork buns
20. Pistachio ice cream
21. Heirloom tomatoes
22. Fresh wild berries
23. Foie gras -- had it for the first time in Strasbourg when I was 17.
24. Rice and beans -- what kind of beans? I love the Cuban black beans and rice, the New Orleans red beans and rice if it's not too heavy on the bell pepper.
25. Brawn, or head cheese -- there's a really delicate Belgian kind that I loved.
26. Raw Scotch Bonnet pepper -- not sure on this one. I taste most peppers before I use them, but I don't know if I've done it with this type.
27. Dulce de leche
28. Oysters -- love 'em raw and cooked. Huitres Foch are made with foie gras. *sigh*
29. Baklava
30. Bagna cauda
31. Wasabi peas
32. Clam chowder in a sourdough bowl -- yes, and it's what convinced me bread bowls were slimy and revolting.
33. Salted lassi
34. Sauerkraut -- and weinkraut, and choucroute aux champagne (with full seven meat garni back when I still ate pork).
35. Root beer float
36. Cognac with a cigar
37. Clotted cream tea
38. Vodka jelly -- I prefer wine jellies.
39. Gumbo
40. Oxtail
41. Curried goat
42. Whole insects
43. Phaal -- Seems to be another term for vindaloo, which I've had a couple of times.
44. Goat’s milk -- one of my friends can't find skim milk easily when I visit her, but she can find skim goat's milk. It's a little weird in tea, but pretty good on cereal.
45. Malt whisky from a bottle worth £60/$120 or more -- Yes.
46. Fugu -- To quote Cynthia Heimel, "Never take anything that lists death as a 'side effect'"
47. Chicken tikka masala
48. Eel
49. Krispy Kreme original glazed doughnut
50. Sea urchin
51. Prickly pear
52. Umeboshi
53. Abalone
54. Paneer
55. McDonald’s Big Mac Meal
56. Spaetzle -- often make my own
57. Dirty gin martini -- I like gin. I'm meh about martinis. I prefer Gimlets. But this sounds good, because I love olive brine. Yes. I know.
And if you're using vodka, it's not a martini. No, I don't care if your name is "Bond. James Bond."
58. Beer above 8% -- I hate beer. But I cook with it and all my usual cooking beers are above 8%
59. Poutine -- I hate gravy.
60. Carob chips
61. S’mores
62. Sweetbreads
63. Kaolin -- I've taken kaopectate, so yep.
64. Currywurst -- another one that I thought I hadn't had, but upon researching, I've eaten it.
65. Durian
66. Frogs’ legs
67. Beignets, churros, elephant ears or funnel cake -- all of them. Love them.
68. Haggis -- made it, too.
69. Fried plantain
70. Chitterlings, or andouillette -- My sister was appalled when I had these. We were in San Rafael at the end of the "Minnesota" trip. They were good.
71. Gazpacho
72. Caviar and blini
73. Louche absinthe -- Soon I hope!
74. Gjetost, or brunost -- Yummy.
75. Roadkill -- rubber is not a condiment.
76. Baijiu -- Chinese white lightning (or as Terry Pratchett would say, "Goodbye, Mister Brain Cell.")
77. Hostess Fruit Pie
78. Snail
79. Lapsang souchong -- my favorite tea ever
80. Bellini
81. Tom yum
82. Eggs Benedict -- I prefer the version one restaurant calls "Eggs Madison" with smoked salmon instead of Canadian bacon. But my absolute favorite variation uses artichoke bottoms. It's wonderful. If someone tries to convince you that cheese sauce is an acceptable substitute for Hollandaise, shun them.
83. Pocky -- thought I hadn't, turned out I had. *G*
84. Tasting menu at a three-Michelin-star restaurant -- Several times. If I'm saving my pennies to eat at a world-class restaurant, I'll always save the extra to order either the specialty of the house or the tasting menu.
85. Kobe beef
86. Hare -- I have had rabbit.
87. Goulash
88. Flowers -- candied violets, chocolate covered rose petals, pansies and nasturtiums in salads...
89. Horse - I have had it in two different forms: air dried like some types of ham, and fresh cooked. Didn't care for either. Won't have it again.
90. Criollo chocolate -- I may have had it, but since I can't be certain...
91. Spam
92. Soft shell crab -- I prefer hard shell. The soft shell's texture is off-putting.
93. Rose harissa -- I think I have had it at a couscous restaurant I used to go to, but again, can't be certain.
94. Catfish
95. Mole poblano
96. Bagel and lox
97. Lobster Thermidor
98. Polenta
99. Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee
100. Snake -- only if I'm in a situation where it's snake or die.

So. Five things I'd like to try. Six that I'd only try if starvation were the only alternative. And one cigar.

Cool list! :)

Think I'll color coordinate it instead of using text styles. It'll be easier to read. :)

*LOL at roadkill entry* Seriously? Just ew. LOL

I ran across this elsewhere earlier, so was working on it (stupid lj formatting). My numbers are a lot less impressive then yours.

I will try roadkill if I ever get James Bryant (remember him) to make it for me. (This is the guy who started dating his now wife over a mutual interest in fresh road kill. It helps to live somewhere where you can know it's only minutes old.) Plus, this would no doubt involve a trip to England, which would be a good perk.
