And she's back.

I've actually had internet two days now, but time has been lacking. Plus, I've been catching up on all the fanfiction I missed. *hangs head*

It's amazing the little things that give a proprietary thrill -- like I finally got a shower curtain up. It's great.

So, I sprained my ankle the day after I moved in. And the price was too good to be true. But. I have a one bedroom, and it's got a view of the Capitol's cupola (with Columbia on the top). From the bedroom, I can see the Washington Monument. My metro stop at work is by the George Washington Memorial (the Masonic one). I'm within walking distance of the Smithsonians.

Let's see, I've also purchased a slipper rocker. I've wanted one for over a decade, and I found it at the flea market for $29. I took it home on the metro with some help from a not-quite-homeless guy.

I got the last half share in a CSA which means I'll get fresh, organic vegetables once a week from April through October. Eggs may be available too.

For those of you who have my address (I can't find who I sent the email to) my apartment number is now V-637.

I know we've been in touch a lot in between, but it's nice to see you back on LJ.

Oh, and I got the article you sent me this morning. Thanks for that! I think Christian is actually pretty damn talented.

Mine's black and not as fancy, but you can see an example here. (http://tri-stateantiques.com/images/4694rocker.jpg)

They're also occasionally called Lincoln rockers. Even though they tend to be short, he apparently loved them. Mine has a nice rock.

Thanks for the welcome back.

I'll know more once they finally have permission from the client to let me into the systems for testing. Tomorrow, I'm learning about the new financial widget. I think things should be OK.

Nice to see you back, Fabrisse. Glad to hear that the move went well, sprained extremities aside. I don't know if you ever go, but I always looked forward to going to the farmers' market at Manassas when my parents lived in Mclean. But this may be because Manassas was closest to what I always imagined a small American town to look like so I may be generally biased in its favour generally.

I was not one of the people you sent the email to but I'd be happy to be in on the second wave? Do you have my email?
