I got tickets to the Ceremony of the Keys, and I got my first choice of dates. Whee!

There's been a foul-up with my paycheck. Not just mine, everyone who's on direct deposit got a double deposit. Obviously, we aren't going to get to keep it, but when they issued the recall -- just hours after they made the double deposit -- my bank decided that I couldn't have ANY of my paycheck. It was supposed to be fixed by close of business. It wasn't. So no money for the weekend. Sis bought me a tank of gas.

Wednesday night I had a big mug of that fasting tea you left with me last year. It was delicious, and I was thinking about how leaving it with me, because I liked it, was such a typically sweet fabrisse thing to do. I miss you.

No need to worry. I'm still staying with Sis, so I'm covered for food and shelter. Thank heavens. I have had weekends, back when I lived in Germany and there were problems getting me onto the payroll, where the only way I made it through the weekend was because the woman in personnel felt guilty and brought me in a quiche. I like her.

I miss you too. I hope to have time to get a big group together for dinner or something when I'm in Boston on my way through to London.
