The hotel in London has said that Snow and I can stay May 26 and 27, and I used my employee discount to get the night of May 28, too. Then May 29 and 30 have been confirmed for Edinburgh. I also looked at my award letter and dinner is included there. Wheeee!

Since it's not possible to get rail tickets more than three months out, I'll be getting our sleeper train tickets from Edinburgh to London in early March. Early March is also when the Globe Theater announces its performance schedule.

I've also sent the letter today requesting entrance to the Ceremony of the Keys for one of the nights we're in London.

Right now, I'm planning things to be as easy as possible. Our hotel is very near the Victoria and Albert, so we'll spend our time there until we can check in. Depending on how things go with my British friends, we may just go to a late afternoon tea and then hit the hay early.

Saturday will be devoted to Hampton Court in the morning and if Snow wants to spend the whole day there, we can. One of my other letters is going to be to the textile preservation group that's based there. It would be really cool if I could arrange for Snow to go there. Otherwise, I'm sure we can find something interesting to do. If the tides are right, I want to see if we can take the river back to London.

Sunday will probably be the Tower of London for most of the day. I put it as my first preference for the Ceremony, too. Proximity also says that it would be a good day for Shakespeare's Globe, but, frankly, with my luck they'll be performing Titus Andronicus with real blood or Timon of Athens with real depressives.

While I've been back to Edinburgh several times, I haven't played tourist there since I was a child. I'm very excited to get to see Holyrood House and Edinburgh Castle again.

Hi sweetie,

I hope you can come to the capital and see us. If not, I have a couple of days on my own after Snow has to come back to the US. We could meet up someplace closer to you.

I can't wait to see you.

I expect hugs. *G*

There's always a bed for you here..and who knows...if we time it right you could come to my degree show and see the fruits of my BA toil.

Hugs will be waiting. I'll get some practice in so it'll be perfect for you.

Garry's offered to help coordinate a meet-up at one location or the other for the FDAS lot. If you don't want to come to something big, let me know which city is better, and we'll grab a cup of tea and have a good natter.

My main thing is that Snow have her time. This is her first trip outside the US (though I hope not her last), and I'm going to need to coordinate things with her first. I'm pretty sure she can be happy left alone at a museum for a couple of hours, but I want to be sure.

And the same offer as the one above applies. If we can work something out for the three days I'm on my own that would be exceedingly cool.

I'd love to see your degree show.

I meant to tell you how nice you look in your new icon.

I love you.

Why don't you bring her along? Or are you not *out* to her? I didn't know Gary was organising anything, but it would be for a weekend and weekends for me are *extremely* difficult.

I'm sure we'll be able to work something out though :)
