fabrisseThe local impact will hit us at 2 p.m., maybe as early as noon. Winds are expected to be around 50 mph, but Tybee Island, less than 20 miles east, is expected to have winds of 75 mph.
We have a walk in closet fitted out as a hurricane/tornado room. It's tight for 3 people and 2 dogs, but it's better than being exposed to windows that can shatter. There's water, tuna, triscuits, and cookies in there.
We've closed all of the interior shutters. With luck, we'll have electricity.
