Mom fell (w/addendum)
Nov. 26th, 2022 06:16 pmSis and I are at the hospital. The ambulance took over 1/2 an hour to get to us. Apparently, Chatham County has been at level 0 (none immediately available) since yesterday.
It could be collarbone, shoulder, or neck or some combination of the three. Mom was in a lot of pain when they lifted her into the chair to get her to the stretcher. (We put railings to allow Mom and Dad to get up the steps to the house. The railings make it nearly impossible for a gurney to get through.)
Why is a six year old house not ADA compliant? I hear people on HGTV talk about "our forever home", but they never include grab bars in their bathroom renovations or widen their door frames for wheel chairs. That can shorten forever in a hurry.
ETA: Mom is fine! Nothing broken.
