And a happy new year to everyone.

So.

My assignment was Albert Campion -- Margery Allingham. This was intriguing because I'd vacillated about whether to make that one of my ten fandom offers. Obviously, I decided yes. *G*
Because I'm a bigger fan of the earlier books -- although The Beckoning Lady is my absolute favorite -- I went out and bought one of the later Charlie Luke centered books to revive my knowledge of the character and the changes in how she presented London after the war. Which led to the story Life for [livejournal.com profile] calliope85.

Then I picked up three pinch hits.

The first was for [livejournal.com profile] angevin2. I ended up re-reading All's Well that Ends Well and taking off on a phrase in the "Dear Yuletide Writer" letter "just how screwed up is their kid going to be." The story is called How Well Does It End.

I love Fringe, so volunteering for that one was a no brainer. [livejournal.com profile] ladygray99 said "something romantic between Walter and Astrid" would be nice, so I attempted it by writing Prelude.

The last one was for Blade Runner. I checked Netflix to make sure it was available to stream because, I hadn't seen the movie in over a decade and I'd only seen it once. [livejournal.com profile] notexotic aka Ade at AO3 wanted Zhora and watching the film with the prompt in mind gave me Retirement which I began while the end credits were running and finished in an hour. It's rare that I have the "stream of consciousness" experience when writing, but this one just flowed. My beta, [livejournal.com profile] gileswench -- bless her, found one minor error, and, once I'd fixed it, up it went.
